Lane Closures for the Week of Oct. 15-20, 2018

Crews will be performing geotechnical work during the daytime hours in several locations along eastbound and westbound Route 7 during the week of Oct. 15-19, 2018.  

Night work on eastbound and westbound Route 7 is scheduled for the nights of Friday, Oct. 19 and Saturday, Oct. 20.  Please see below for more details.

All work is subject to change based on weather and schedule.  Please use caution and be alert to signs, as well as potential flagger or police direction in work zones.  Slow-moving vehicles and equipment may be entering and exiting the road.

Please note that Washington Gas crews are also working behind barriers along the corridor as part of the concurrent pipe replacement project weekdays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and weekends 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

ROUTE 7 EASTBOUND AND WESTBOUND

Between the Dulles Toll Road (Route 267) and Georgetown Pike (Route 193)
Monday, Oct. 15 – Thursday, Oct. 18, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 19, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Left or right lane closures of varying lengths will occur along the corridor for geotechnical work.

ROUTE 7 EASTBOUND

Night work between Wolftrap Run Road and Jarrett Valley Drive
Friday, Oct. 19, 10 p.m. to 9 a.m.
Left lane and shoulder closed on eastbound Route 7

Night work between Wolftrap Run Road and Jarrett Valley Drive
Saturday, Oct. 20, 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.
Right lane and shoulder closed on eastbound Route 7

ROUTE 7 WESTBOUND

Night work between Wolftrap Run Road and Lyons Street
Friday, Oct. 19, 10 p.m. to 9 a.m.
Left lane and shoulder closed on westbound Route 7  

Night work between Lyons Street and Forestville Drive
Saturday, Oct. 20, 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.
Right lane and shoulder closed on westbound Route 7  

Lane Closures for the Week of Oct. 9-13, 2018

Crews will be performing geotechnical and utility location work in several locations along eastbound and westbound Route 7 during the week of Oct. 9-12, 2018. Night work along the bridge over Difficult Run (between Carpers Farm Way/Colvin Run Road and Middleton Ridge Road) is scheduled for the nights of Friday, Oct. 12 and Saturday, Oct. 13.  Please see below for more details.

Please note that Washington Gas crews are also working behind barriers along the corridor as part of the concurrent pipe replacement project weekdays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and weekends 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. This work will not require lane closures.

Between Trap Road and Wolftrap Run Road

Left lane and median crossover near Dreamweaver Court and Royal Estates Drive closed for utility location work.
